Real Estate Marketing

As I’ve mentioned before, many of my years in marketing have been solely based in Real Estate and I enjoy the challenge! I am here to help with marketing not only homes but agents as well. Here are a few suggestions that I have for agents and feel free to contact me if you want me to facilitate any of these for you!

Let’s begin with reviews. Blast them everywhere: Zillow, Google, any printed material, etc.

Professional photos. Finding a good photographer/videographer who knows the features you like to capture is a key element. Videos are becoming more prevalent in marketing as it’s especially useful for buyers looking for homes from out of state.

As an agent, share your knowledge on the real estate market today. Use social media, a blog and your website as platforms to communicate.

Social media is an easy way to get new homes out to the public, share any tips you have, and another avenue to find your buyers a home. This is one of the tasks agents like hiring me for.

Get creative with your open houses! Example: Let’s say the house features a beautiful backyard you want to showcase. If permitted, hold a yoga class out in the back! Allow buyers to picture themselves getting the most out of this home.

A lot of times agents get their business based on referrals. Make sure you maintain a good reputation.  Example: An open house was held next door to us; I came in and there was a cold greeting and she didn’t offer to show me around (I was the only one there at the time). I had no desire to ever hire or refer her. Agents should be personable and welcoming. The agent I use is always friendly, walks through the house with us even helping decide the layout of the living room so we can visualize our lives in the home and I always refer her! Remember to be kind and helpful.
